URI Student Pianists in Concert Friday, April 3, 2009 - 8:00pm - Free An evening of piano music in both solo and duet arrangements performed by students of Grace Urrico and Manabu Takasawa.
URI Faculty Pianists in Concert Saturday, April 4, 2009 - 7:00pm (Note earlier starting time.) Ensemble and solo performances by faculty pianists Grace Urrico, Michelle Beaton, Jean maxon Carpenter, Joseph Parillo, and Manabu Takasawa, with guest Sang Woo Kang from Providence College. A University Artist Series Concert. General admission - $8.00 Students - $2.00
Festival Competition for Young Pianists Sunday, April 5, 2009 - 1:00pm - 6:00pm - Free Pre-college student pianists from Southern New England perform before a panel of judges. Awards will be given in various categories. Application for participants is $30.00, and the online registration deadline is Friday, March 20, 2009.
